Bill Treasurer is founder and CEO of Giant Leap Consulting (GLC), a Courage Building company dedicated to helping people and organizations be more courageous.

Prior to founding GLC, Treasurer spent 6 years with Accenture, a premier management and technology consulting firm. He was the company’s first internal executive coach, and coached Accenture senior executives to strengthen their leadership skills, enhance team performance, and build strong client relationships. Before joining Accenture, Treasurer was a VP of Program Services at Executive Adventure, where he facilitated over 300 corporate team-building workshops. Treasurer began his consulting career in 1991 at High Performing Systems, where he designed and delivered leadership development programs.

Bill Treasurer is the author of Right Risk (Berrett-Koehler, 2003). Right Risk deals with "purposeful risk-taking" and is based on Treasurer’s experiences both as an

organizational development professional, and as a daredevil high diver. Treasurer has shared his risk-taking insights with thousands of radio listeners. And he has been featured in over 100 newspapers, and such renowned print media as the Washington Post, Investor's Business Daily, Chicago Tribune, NY Daily News, Boston Herald, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, MSN.com, HR.com, and such popular magazines as Women's Day, Ladies Home Journal, Fitness, Training, T&D, Women's World, and The Harvard Management Review Update.

Bill Treasurer is also the editor of POSITIVELY M.A.D.: How to Make A Difference in Your Organizations, Communities, and the World. The book is Berrett-Koehler Publishers first-ever author compilation, and contains stories from over 50 of the world's leading business thinkers.

Treasurer is a former member of the U.S. High Diving Team. From 1984-1991 he toured throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, and performed over 1,500 high dives from heights that scaled to 100 feet. He also performed 300 dives as the high-octane superhero “Captain Inferno” – while on fire!

Since 1991, Treasurer has worked with over 75 prominent organizations in the area of Organizational Development, Leadership, Teambuilding, and Change Management. Among others, Treasurer's clients include: Accenture, CNN, Starbucks, the U.S. Veteran's Administration, Macquarium, Spanx, Credit Suisse First Boston, Equity Office Properties, Cox Enterprises, the Drug Enforcement Agency, and many others.

He holds a Masters Degree in Administrative Science (with a concentration in OD) from the University of Wisconsin—Green Bay. He attended West Virginia University on a full athletic scholarship for springboard diving. Though he no longer high dives, Treasurer is an avid whitewater kayaker. He lives in Asheville, North Carolina with his wife Shannon, twin children, Bina and Alex, and dog Gulliver.
