Courageous Teaming

What would your team look like if it acted with more courage in its daily interaction? Would it face challenges head-on? Would it increase it’s efficiency, productivity, and accuracy? Would your team develop new communication strategies? Would your team address conflict in a productive and positive way? Would the level of employee morale increase?

Dysfunctional teams display a lack of desire or ability to deal with conflict. Often they address symptoms of conflict but allow the source of conflict to fester. Dysfunctional teams are also more likely to be characterized by a lack of accountability (i.e. culture of blame, defensiveness, and "CYA") rather than a climate of responsiveness and responsibility.

Courageous Teaming is a set of team building activities that are entertaining, relevant, & sustaining; not just fun and games. It uses the concept of Courage to help teams achieve breakthroughs in performance, connectedness, & interaction!

Esprit de corps (the spirit of the team) is every bit as important to the teams success as the skills and talent of each individual team member. The truth is, teams can have solid goals, clearly defined roles, and carefully crafted policies, but if team members don’t get along, the team won’t be successful. Courageous Teaming incorporates these concepts into a structured program to address your total team needs.

How do we do it?

GLC uses a combination of one-on-one stakeholders interviews, customer needs assessments, & competitive threat reviews, to create Courageous Future strategic planning retreats that identify a compelling future, and the bold strategies to get there.
