Becky Jarrell has specialized in leadership development training and change management since 1990.
Becky began her career with IBM in 1986 as a Systems Engineer, specializing in technical sales, consulting, training and
support. In 1990, she joined Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture) and worked for eight years in change management
consulting, training, and human resources. In 1998, she founded Star Performance Consulting, a firm focused on communication,
leadership, and team training. Becky "jumped in" with Giant Leap Coaching and Consulting in 2002.
As a Change Management Manager for the world's largest consulting company, Becky led the training design/development,
organizational design, and communication planning for several large re-engineering projects.
As the Atlanta Office Training Manager, she taught all interpersonal skills courses (Team Development Workshop, Spirit
of Facilitation, Effective Presentations, New Consultant School, New Manager Orientation, Effective Business Writing)
for Atlanta. She also managed the Atlanta Training Department, which oriented 160 new and experienced hires annually,
and she coordinated a $2.5 million training budget for 450 consultants. She developed and taught a Coaching/Feedback
course, which also covered new evaluation processes, to all 700 Atlanta personnel.
As the human resources "People-Values-Culture" Manager for Atlanta, Becky led mentoring, diversity, balance of work/life,
quality of client service and other employee development initiatives. She managed the Core Values Survey process and
conducted focus groups and team development activities. She coordinated quarterly office-wide training conferences for
900 people and participated on the Americas-wide Core Values task force to share ideas and programs across offices.
In 1998, Becky founded Star Performance Consulting. Becky designed and developed SPC's core training courses, including
Stellar Meetings, Stellar Business Writing, Stellar Supervision, Stellar Time Management, and Stellar Teams.
Becky has received very positive feedback about SPC courses and her instructor skills. Chick-fil-A's Information Technology
group wrote, "Since returning to the office, I have heard nothing but positive feedback on the content and format of the
[Stellar Meetings] course. You were fun and engaging, and the activities gave us a great opportunity to practice the concepts
we learned. This was a class we can directly apply to how we do business day-to-day. You provided us tools that will change
the way we do meetings at Chick-fil-A."
SPC recently issued a site license to a large international consulting firm (168 countries) that is offering the Stellar
Meetings course to employees in the Americas, Europe, Australia and Asia/Pacific.
Becky continues to teach professional development courses with the Accenture Leadership and Personnel Development Group.
She teaches Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, First Things First, Achieving Meeting Results, Presentation Dynamics,
and Leadership Skills for New Supervisors.
Becky lives in Atlanta with her husband, Jim, and their four children, Alex, Jack, and identical twins Anna and Claire. Contact Becky at:
