Peter J. Sherman heads up Giant Leap’s Six Sigma program, and is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and ASQ Certified Quality Engineer. Peter has over two decades of experience in the quality arena, including serving as Sr. Black Belt for AT&T’s Product Development Group.
Peter has led Six Sigma initiatives across Product Development, Sales, Fulfillment, Installation, Customer Support, and Billing. Mr. Sherman began his career in quality management working in Japan as a visiting M.I.T. Scholar in 1986-87. There he worked with Dr. Edwards Deming, the noted American Quality expert and learned firsthand Japanese quality practices including the Toyota Production System, Quality Circles and Kaizen.
Peter is lead Instructor at Emory University's Six Sigma Program in Atlanta, Georgia and has been published in various journals including Quality Progress, iSixSigma, Quality Digest, Hospitals & Health Networks, Solutions (Supplement to Journal of Financial Planning).
Peter holds a B.S. in Construction Engineering from the University of Florida; a Master's in Civil Engineering from M.I.T. and an MBA from Georgia State University. He is also a member of the ASQ and ISSSP.
